A vehicle’s infotainment system is a system that’s used for providing information and entertainment. The infotainment screen acts as the control panel for adjusting the audio volume, handling the parking camera and more. It’s also used extensively for navigation and operating the driver’s phone. Here’s a list of the best car infotainment systems you can invest in.

Most-third party infotainment systems come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. These can be an easy way to make your car feeling new, especially if you drive an older car or the base variant of a newer model.
But before we get to this list, we’d recommend checking out some of our other posts as well.
1. Kenwood DMX4707S

Kenwood is the first name on this list of premium infotainment systems. Its DMX4707S unit is the most affordable one we’re listing today, but it’s also one which does not compromise on audio quality.
It features a 6.8-inch touchscreen which is slightly smaller than competing options in the list, but it does offer a decent feature set. The design of the head unit is also modern and it features control buttons on the side.
Kenwood’s DMX4707S digital multimedia receiver features built-in wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also voice control to ensure you don’t take your eyes off the road. This head unit’s 6.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display can be used for navigation, messaging, and music apps.
So if you’re planning to get this as an upgrade for your car, be rest assured you’ll be making a safe choice. Or at least that’s what the majority of reviews on Amazon suggest.

2. Sony XAV-AX7000

The Sony XAV-AX7000 features a gorgeous and extremely crisp display. This is a 6.95-inch panel that offers touch control over important functions. It’s a responsive capacitive touchscreen with anti-glare feature feature.
One of its main features is the ability to create virtual speakers on your dashboard with the dynamic stage organizer. Sony claims the XAV-AX7000 also comes with plenty of power to replace even an external amp. All these combined make it one of the bes, if not the best car infotainment system you can buy.
It’s also compact in size despite actually featuring a double-DIN display. This makes it relatively easy to instal, and also leaves plenty of room for cabling and other accessories in the space behind the display.

3. Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX

Much like the options above, this one also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, unlike the options above, this one supports wireless versions of the two technologies to enable seamless integration with your smartphone.
The Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX also comes with built-in Bluetooth functionality if you don’t want to connect your phone to the head unit using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This multimedia receiver boasts a stunning 9-inch floating display.
This display offers a good experience no matter if you’re streaming music, or using (wireless, wired) Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Pioneer’s head unit also features good quality audio components and advanced sound tuning capabilities.

4. Kenwood eXcelon DMX1057XR

This offering from Kenwood brings with itself a revolutionary 10.1-inch HD display. This is a capacitive touch panel. Since this is a premium-end product, it also brings access to high-end features such as wireless Android Auto and wireless Car Play.
The Kenwood DMX1057XR also comes with smart features and receivers including four camera inputs. With couramera inputs, the user can connect a front camera, a dashboard camera, rear and side (blind spot) cameras.
Since these are smart inputs, the four camera inputs can support several other configurations, including the connection of two side cameras, a front camera, and a reverse camera. While these features and its display make it an interesting option, its price sadly doesn’t do it any favors.

Time to Upgrade!
If you’re running a slightly old car or an entry level model of a car that doesn’t feature a feature-rich headt unit, an aftermarket solution is a good idea. However, if you’re still confused, we’d recommend choosing the Sony XAV-AX7000 from our list of best car infotainment systems.
